Making connections is at the heart of the KK experience. Whether online, in person, or onboard the cruise, the friendships forged through Killing Kittens are often what our members treasure most. As our members like to say, “we come for the party and stay for the friendship.”
For two decades, we’ve been building communities both IRL and online, creating spaces where like-minded people can connect, share, and thrive. The KK Cruise is no exception, offering multiple opportunities to meet fellow adventurers before and during the journey. Here’s how you can start connecting:
1. Attend a KK Party Beforehand
One of the best ways to meet other KK members before the cruise is to attend one of our iconic parties.
“Our parties are the perfect introduction to the KK world,” says Tash, Head of Cruise and Customer Experience. “You’ll meet staff, performers, and loads of other members who are part of our vibrant community.”
Attending a party beforehand allows you to get a feel for the KK energy and might even introduce you to fellow cruise-goers. It’s an early opportunity to feel like a part of the family and build anticipation for the adventure ahead.
2. Join the Pre-Sailing Chat Community
A few weeks before setting sail, we’ll open up a dedicated chat community on the WAX app. This space is designed to help you connect with other cruise attendees, share details about the trip, and even start making plans for excursions or onboard activities.
“The WAX community chat is a fantastic way to break the ice,” Tash explains. “You can introduce yourself, browse profiles, and start building connections so that by the time you board, you’ll already feel like you know a few friendly faces.”
3. Attend the Pre-Cruise Meet and Greet
To kick off our adventure in style, we’ll host a cocktail meet and greet the evening before the cruise departs. Set in a special location in the artistic and vibrant city of Barcelona, this relaxed event will feature flowing drinks, tantalising tapas, and plenty of opportunities to mingle.
“It’s a chance to experience something unique in the city while meeting your fellow travellers in a low-key setting,” says Tash. “The atmosphere is all about connection and fun.”
This pre-cruise gathering is the perfect way to ease into the journey, allowing you to make new friends before setting sail the next morning. Just remember not to stay out too late – you’ll want to be fresh and ready for the big day ahead!
Onboard the Cruise
Once onboard, the opportunities to connect continue with group activities, workshops, and, of course, the legendary KK parties. From casual poolside conversations to shared experiences during excursions on shore, every moment is an invitation to deepen the connections you’ve already made or spark entirely new ones.
A Community Like No Other
“The KK Cruise is about more than just the destinations,” Tash concludes. “It’s about the people you meet along the way. These connections are what make the journey truly unforgettable.”
So whether you’re connecting through WAX, clinking glasses in Barcelona, or dancing under the stars onboard, the KK Cruise offers countless ways to make friends and create memories that will last a lifetime.
